Turning more settled from Sunday

WeathÉire long range weather forecast for Ireland

After a mixed and breezy weekend, more settled weather is on the way for Ireland as high pressure strengthens from the southwest early next week.

From Friday through to Sunday morning, expect breezy conditions with scattered showers and outbreaks of rain at times. The heaviest rainfall will be in the west and northwest, but drier, brighter spells will become more widespread from Sunday afternoon.

Rainfall totals over the coming 7 to 10 days are expected to be near or slightly below average in the west and north, and well below normal in the south and southeast.

Temperatures will hover around the seasonal norm—ranging from the mid to high teens—but a gradual rise is expected through next week.

Looking Ahead:
High pressure will maintain largely settled conditions next week, with scattered showers mostly confined to the west and north. Cloud cover may linger at times due to Ireland’s position on the edge of the high, but it will feel milder overall.

Temperatures are expected to climb gradually into the high teens or low 20s, especially away from cooler Atlantic coasts.

Winds: Generally light westerly or southwesterly, occasionally moderate in the northwest.
