Ireland Basks in Sunshine

Live webcam footage from across Ireland on Friday showed widespread sunshine and people enjoying the ongoing spell of fine weather.

Clear, dry conditions were observed in a number of locations, including Inchydoney in Cork, Howth and Dublin Zoo, Killarney in Kerry, Buncrana in Donegal, and Inis Mór on the Aran Islands.

Temperatures are forecast to reach up to 28 degrees Celsius today, with a Status Yellow High Temperature warning in place from Met Éireann.

The warning extends nationwide for Saturday and Sunday, when maximum temperatures are expected to exceed 27 degrees in many areas.

Conditions are forecast to become more unsettled from early next week, with frequent showers and longer spells of rain likely. The heaviest rainfall is expected in the western half of the country.
