Yellow Thunderstorm Warning Issued for Northern Ireland

The UK Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms across Northern Ireland this Thursday.
The warning covers counties Antrim, Armagh, Fermanagh, Tyrone, and Derry, and is valid from 11:00 am to 8.00 pm.
Heavy showers accompanied by thunderstorms may cause some disruption, particularly affecting travel in these areas.
This warning follows a period of extensive thunderstorm activity in the west of Ireland on Sunday evening and throughout Monday.
A mixed and unsettled weather pattern is expected over the next few days, with heavy rain and scattered thundery showers impacting much of the country.
Rain will begin in the southwest today, spreading northeast before clearing later this evening. Thursday and Sunday present the greatest risk of thunderstorms, especially across Ulster and the North Midlands.
Drier and brighter conditions are likely to favour western areas on Friday and possibly again early next week as high pressure builds from the south. Temperatures will generally range from the mid-teens to low twenties Celsius, warmest in the east and south, accompanied by mostly light to moderate winds.
