Water conservation call extended to Leitrim

Uisce Éireann is calling on South Leitrim residents and businesses to keep water use in check following a surge in demand and recent water main bursts in Keshcarrigan and Ballinamore.
With the South Leitrim Regional Water Scheme — serving Ballinamore, Keshcarrigan, Drumshanbo, Carrick-on-Shannon, Mohill, and Carrigallen — under pressure, customers are urged to help reservoirs recover by conserving water at home, in gardens, and at work.
Anthony Skeffington of Uisce Éireann warned, “The warm weather has pushed up water demand significantly. Cutting back even a little can help ensure steady supply for everyone.”
Simple changes now can prevent pressure drops and keep taps flowing smoothly across the region. Residents are encouraged to play their part in protecting South Leitrim’s water supply.
