1983: Thunderstorms caused flash flooding across the Midlands as temperatures climbed into the mid-20s Celsius.
2005: Ireland recorded its wettest July day, with 112.9mm of rain falling in Macroom, County Cork.
2006: For the 15th consecutive day, the maximum temperature in Kilkenny exceeded 20 °C.
2018: Temperatures reached 27 °C at Casement Aerodrome in Dublin.
2021: Met Éireann issued a Status Orange thunderstorm and rain warning for Galway, Clare, and north Tipperary. Mace Head in Galway recorded 33mm of rainfall within a few hours.
