Long Range Forecast For Ireland

The coming week will be largely dry, settled and warm as high pressure sits over Ireland.
Temperatures will reach into the low 20s at times, but a gradual cool down is expected as we move into next weekend.
With the exception of some light rain or drizzle in parts of the west and northwest today, the next week will bring largely dry conditions.
Sunshine will become more widespread from Tuesday through the end of the week.
Winds will initially be moderate to fresh south-southwesterly on Sunday, veering gentle southeasterly on Monday and dropping light east to northeasterly during the remainder of the coming week.
Some thundery showers may develop in parts of the south on Friday.
A cooler northerly airflow is likely to develop next weekend and into the following week, which will reduce temperatures and bring about a risk of overnight frosts in sheltered inland locations.
Some showers will drift into northern and western counties in a north to north-westerly wind.
There is a chance that Atlantic systems may encroach from the southwest as high pressure weakens in the early days of the following week.
With soil temperatures increasing further and reduced Soil Moisture Deficits (SMDS) due to recent heavy rain, there will be significant grass growth during the coming working week with a slowdown by the weekend as SMDs increase.
