
Glorious spring weather across Ireland

All of Ireland enjoyed widespread sunshine on Saturday as the warmest temperature of 2025 was recorded.
Following overcast conditions and light rain in places on Friday, the clouds cleared on Saturday morning.
Shannon in Airport recorded the highest temperature of the year to date on Saturday afternoon.
The mercury level rose to 19.4 C on Saturday afternoon as all of Ireland enjoyed long spells of sunshine.
The yearly maximum temperature is just 0.3 C warmer than the previous high set at Shannon on Thursday afternoon.
Clear skies at sunset produced some picturesque scenes, as evidenced in this video featuring Limerick, Clare, Donegal, Cork, Kerry, Dublin, Waterford and Wicklow.
It was cooler along the east coast due to onshore easterly winds.
The maximum temperature at Dublin Airport during Saturday was 12 C.
Temperatures will initially range from 16 to 18 C in western regions to 11 to 13 C in the east during Sunday.
Moderate east winds will ease later on Sunday and into next week, which will allow temperatures in eastern counties to rise into the mid-teens.
