Ten counties placed under Status Yellow rainfall warning

Met Éireann says heavy rain and a few thundery downpours may result in spot flooding up to Saturday evening.
A Status Yellow Rainfall warning has been issued for Galway, Munster and south Leinster and will remain in effect until 2.00pm on Saturday.
Up to one inch of rain could fall in the ten counties placed under the alert.
Following a dry start to Friday with hazy sunshine away from the south coast, rain accompanied by a moderate southeast wind will push into Wexford and Waterford by mid-afternoon.
The wet weather will spread to the rest of Ireland as the evening progresses.
A clearance will follow from the west during Saturday. Spells of heavy rain will continue in the eastern half of Ireland and, in particular, in the southeast.
Met Éireann has also issued a series of marine warnings.
A Status Yellow Small Craft warning is in effect for Fair Head to Belfast Lough.
East to southeast winds will reach force 6 at times up to midnight on Friday.
A Small Craft warning is also in effect from 9.00 PM on Friday to 1.00 AM on Saturday from Mizen Head to Loop Head to Rossan Point.
Northerly winds will reach force 6 or higher.
